Hitting a nerve
My post this morning about the hypocrisy of the socialist half of the Portland City Council regarding nondisclosure agreements got an unexpected response on Bluesky. Two of the dim bulbs glowed brightly for a moment to tell me how wrong I was.
I see that "Smokey" Green wants me to consult with him before pointing out his follies. I will have to look him up the next time I'm in Tigard.
We're stuck with Kanal for another 27 months, but voters in District 4 will have a chance in a couple of months to send Mitch back to whatever it is that economists do.
As to the substance of my post and their response, if these guys are so opposed to NDA's, it's within their power to see to it that the city stop signing them. They could do that tomorrow.

I get more quality in-depth reporting from you and other area bloggers than I get from The Oregonian and Willamette Week put together. I may not always agree with your perspective on some items, but you do a real community service. Thank you, and please keep the good work.
ReplyDeletePoliticians love NDAs but will not acknowledge that reality publicly. The NDAs enable them to silence their mistakes using the hard-earned money of the people they purport to represent. This practice is sick and should not be legal.
