Summing it up
I've been plowing through Raymond Lee's expense reports from his days as city manager in Greeley, Colorado – he's the city manager of Portland now – and wow, did he ever chow down on the taxpayers' dime over there. Countless "business meetings" at steakhouses and other eateries. Lots of bacon and filet mignon were enjoyed. You wonder if the voters had any idea.
I'll post my findings on Lee's gourmand ways when I've been through all the receipts, but I've noticed something already that I can't get over. The guy can't do basic addition!
This is the $535K-a-year executive who's going to lead Portland into the "renaissance"? Sure. Sure it is.
You wonder what will happen when the bond rating people get a load of his act.

I’d like the see the invoice from the firm that did the vetting on him.

Delete“Keep Portland Weird”……..so our new hot shot guy in charge of city finances can’t manage simple addition? Having previously reviewed his obscene written pleas for even higher comp and benefits on this blog, here’s betting that he would kick down the accounting department door if one cent of his unconscionable $535,000 pay package was paid late. In each example above, he underpaid his tab! Did the service staff take the loss? Can’t wait for the next installment of Jack’s investigation……
ReplyDeleteColorado...especially *that* part of Colorado...is a major cattle-ranching/beef-producing area. I'm not excusing RCL3s expenses, I'm just noting that business in that part of the world usually gets done over beef.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Lee from OK or NW TX? Most people I've ever met from there are deathly allergic to vegetables...
DeleteIf you making that kind dough buy your damn lunch..
DeleteIf asked about this, Lee will inform us that the city will undergo an organizational review to ensure that as an organization it is organized in such a way to implement the necessary organizational change to support the organization in meeting its organizational needs as far as the organization is organized around principles of organizational structure and serving the various organizations it serves as an organization.
ReplyDeleteAs a whole.
DeleteCarrying the one is a lost skill. God forbid anybody who has to borrow the one...
ReplyDeleteCarrying the one? He adds 7 plus 7 and gets 13.
DeleteRLIII was an obvious DEI appointment designed to keep the White Guilt types on the Council quiet.

ReplyDeleteI've been following Greeley politics ever since you brought this to our attention, and I believe most voters there would tell you that no, they didn't have any idea, and they've now learned the hard way what-happens when you're not paying attention to what your government is up to.
They're realizing this as they try to fill the +/- $7 million hole & fix the mess that he left them.
Apparently Paul Trombino is following Raymond Lee to Portland. He just bought a house out there. Get ready for the nonsense Portland.
