In Portland, euthanasia for addicts

There's no better way to put it. Yesterday alone there were 11 overdoses downtown, three fatal. If you think Portland is helping anyone by tolerating what's going on, you're quite crazy.

Who was the dealer? We'll probably never know. Because we have no real police force or prosecutor.

Where is the U.S. attorney, Natalie Wight? It's past time for her to step in.

Meanwhile, Oregon needs two more mental hospitals, several hundred more cops, and one more prison. Until that happens, get used to the body counts. Tell the bobblehead who represents you in Salem.

  1. Don’t remember hearing of a drug dealer dying.

  2. Yes. We need more facilities. But where do we get the professionals to staff those facilities? Hospitals don’t have enough nurses and doctors as it is at present.

  3. The over the counter purchase of the drug allows anyone to purchase but it's costly possibly leading to the question "Are they Narcanworthy?"

  4. Good thing the County's BHRC is right there to curtail this insanity otherwise who knows what the body count would have been.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
