Nobody took the double-'dog dare

Five pro football underdogs won today. Players in our charity game had only four of them. I guess no one thought the Jets would win again so soon after last week's surprise. But the boys from Jersey capitalized on the bad karma of Miami, which found itself down to its third-string (and last) quarterback before they even got their second play off.

Anyway, the G-Men, Houston, the 'Boys, and the Ponies also prevailed, scoring points for our 'dognosticators. Nobody's on the Monday night game, and so the standings after Week 5 are follows:

Gordon has jumped up to second place thanks to a three-week win streak. Defending champ MadDog has been right four weeks out of five this season. Buster Douglas holds on to third place.

But despair not, other contestants; we are not quite to the first quarter pole in our 21-week contest.

There are no games in London next weekend, and so we'll have a normal slate of lines (with one Thursday night contest and one Monday night tussle) posted here on Tuesday.
