An easy one

Well, that was quick enough. A federal judge has enjoined the ridiculous new Oregon statute that prohibited prospective buyers of homes from writing "love letters" to the prospective sellers. Anybody could see from a mile away that that stinker of a law was unconstitutional. But it was oh so correct politically, and in Salem, that's all that mattered.

Now, if only they could give us something we really need. Like gun control. But no. For that we need a bake sale.

The Oregon Real Estate Agency is treating this injunction as a final adjudication on the merits. Per a breathy, over-heated email sent this morning, they've removed the Bill from the 2022-2023 broker education syllabus, just based on the injunction. They don't have much or any faith the bill will be upheld, or at least don't want brokers to learn about their interim failure ...

Side note, I'd talk to the good citizens of Mariupol before ruling out firearms from your future, Bojack. Better to have 'em and not need 'em, then need 'em and not have 'em.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
