20-month sentence for brutal protest assailant
Readers may remember the Portland protester who kicked a counter-protester unconscious one night back in August. It was brutal attack that made it clear that someone was eventually going to be killed in the demonstrations downtown. Less than two weeks later, someone was.
The guy who delivered the devastating, and horrifying, kick has pleaded guilty to assault and riot and sentenced to 20 months in prison. The Oregonian has the story here.
There were other people involved, but they got away with their parts of the episode.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
