Round 2, 100K

I've been back in the blogosphere for just short of four months now. It's a fun hobby, but it's addictive. I'm always thinking about the next thing I'm going to post.

The more you post, the more eyeballs you attract. And Google keeps track of how many eyeballs that is. Sometime in the last day or so, I passed the 100,000-eyeball mark.

I'm not even sure what that means. I think it's total page views. But if so, it's misleading. Assuming each reader had two eyes open, that should be 200,000 eyeballs, actually.

Being a blogger affects the psyche in weird ways. Right when I resumed, I had the disc jockey dream, which I explained here. The other night, I had a new one: I dreamed I was a priest getting ready to say a Catholic Mass. I'm sure that had something to do with blogging. Or maybe it was just the absinthe.

Anyway, thanks to you readers for being out there.

  1. Jack, I hope you appreciate how weird it is to have this blog back right now with this many huge topics to cover. It's like old times and yet so unlike them too. Of course we had more of a troupe of commenters back then. Where is everybody? As Springsteen used to say, "Is there anybody alive out there?"
As usual, I'm selfishly using this blog to try and maintain my sanity, especially in the weirdest year I've seen in decades. As I used to tell you all the time back in the day, let me know if I'm wearing out my welcome. Oh, and be careful of that absinthe. That shit will take the balls off a rhino at 100 yards.

    1. It was a random turn of events that lead me to find that JBB is back up and running...I imagine some of the loyal readers just haven't heard yet. Really glad to have this thoughtful blog back, especially in these bizarre times. Good to have you back, Jack!!

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
