Protesters extend breather
Our source for yesterday's post was off-base: There was no protest in Portlandia last night. The air quality here is still so bad that even people with gas masks wouldn't go out in it.
We're approaching a week without the recurring standoffs between the dissidents and the authorities. It can't last, but the lack of protest drama has been welcome. It has left some psychic space for the climate drama.
