Election porn goes New Wave
It started out with a carrot:
And then turned to a stick:
The cynic in me figures that this must be coming from some political organization that has checked the young people's party affiliations and thinks it knows how they will vote. Of course, the return address doesn't really tell you who it is.
Another fascinating item left by the mailman is this steaming heap of hypocrisy from the ACLU. "We're not making any endorsements, but..."
Give me a break.
The mailman hasn't been the only one on the porch. Some poor soul working for the local political machine was out in the rain hanging these on the doorknobs:
Nothing can be more of a turnoff for me than the little collection of logos at the bottom. "The organizations you trust." In a pig's eye.
And as if that weren't bad enough:
It almost makes me want to not rank Cruz. Given the socialist alternatives, I guess I have to. But she's clearly second-fiddle (or lower) to the guy who left this card:
My kind of candidate. Refreshing almost. Nabil is numero uno by far.

My elderly neighbor in NE Portland fell while trying to pick up one of those Nabil Gerbil cards, which someone had thrown on the floor of her porch.
ReplyDeleteI've often wondered if that clown bow tie that former congressperson BlueManure habitually sports shoots a jet of water when he squeezes a hidden bulb.

ReplyDelete"Prior to serving at VPC and CVI, Lopach was Chief of Staff to Montana Governor Steve Bullock, Executive Director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) during the 2015-2016 election cycle, and Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Tester from 2010 through 2014."
I got something in the mail after the last election, it had to be the same creep (I recall a PO Box in Wash. return address). It as much as said, 'we're watching & we see that you voted'. Which creeped me out, but I didn't see any election/mail laws being violated.
ReplyDeleteIt seems doubtful that realizing they have an election-stalker is going to inspire young voters.
Some people need to find things that are actually-useful to do with their sorry little lives. *Creep*.
I agree. It's creepy!
