Guy next door

I'm slow on the uptake sometimes, but I just caught wind of a fellow named Max Steele, who's aparently been writing about Portland city government, among other things, on Substack for a while now. He and I see some things the same way, it appears. Not everything, but some things.

What caught my attention is his latest write-up, about the slow police response times in Portland. A lot went into his post. You might want to check it out, as I did, here, in his recurring column Recalibrate Portland.

  1. Agree on this column, but some pretty awful takes on other issues, especially the middle east.

    1. The guy certainly doesn't mince words. The tighty righties are so protective of Jewish people all of a sudden. It's a little hard to square with their Nazi salutes.

    2. Wyden is a tighty righty? AIPAC isn't real either....?

  2. This guy isn't on the right. This is a fun new point on the political horseshoe.

  3. Max does a great minute-by-minute account of city council meetings...but he needs an editor to tell him, "Enough, already!"

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog2@gmail.com and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
