Four-alarm grudge

Portland city administrator Raymond Lee must have had his ear ringing the other night. And not his good ear. His name came up again at the City Council meeting in Greeley, Colorado, where he used to work. A guy from the firefighters' union got up and said how nice it was to work with other people. The short speech starts at 22:09 of the meeting video, here.

  1. Was just in northern CO last week and asked around. As far as I could tell from informal conversations everyone there is glad to be rid of him. Once again Portlandia is overcome with incompetence.

  2. I used to think that corrupt behavior and incompetence were in two different universes.

  3. Now why was this guy the best choice to run Portland? Couldn't possibly be an EQUITY hire, could it? Maybe they thought vetting a candidate only applies to dogs?

  4. DEI strikes again. Where will white guilt end?

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog2@gmail.com and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
