Points off

I wrote yesterday with my picks for the Multnomah County circuit court judgeships up for grabs in the election now under way, and one of my choices was Laura Rowan, currently an attorney in the state Justice Department.

Then the mailman dropped off Rowan's election porn, and it contained a few passages that gave me pause.




I still plan to vote for Rowan. She seems to be the best choice. But I kinda wish I hadn't seen any of that.

    It's known as a political machine; the most important tentacles are the top job, but also the AG and the judges. Always, the judges. Any halfway sentient litigant always knows who'll be hearing the effort to unravel the machine...at which point they give up and spend their money elsewhere.

      I agree, using the kids as a political prop is uncool. I think the point of that particular photo is, "Hey! I'm hetero!"
