No wire hangers

Today the taxpayers learned that they paid to have Lori Chavez-DeRemer’s clothes closet cleaned out.

At least, that’s if her staff are to be believed. Two of her underlings have filed complaints with federal authorities against LCD, who is the U.S. Secretary of Labor, a former member of Congress, and former mayor of lil’ ole Happy Valley, Oregon. The complaints allege that their boss retaliated against them for reporting sexual assault at agency headquarters by said boss’ allegedly freaky anesthesiologist husband. And that ain't all.

The allegations, filed as Equal Employment Opportunity complaints, portray Chavez-DeRemer as an agency leader who fostered a hostile workplace where staff feared punishment for speaking out or resisting directives they considered inappropriate. One of the complaints says the Labor Secretary also directed staff to perform personal chores for her, including cleaning out one of her clothing closets, according to one of the sources.
I thought that this would be Chavez-DeRemer’s last week in the Caligula Cabinet, but apparently not. That said, it’s reported that her days are numbered. I wonder which staff member will be tasked with cleaning out her desk.

  1. She certainly seems to be laboring to hang on. Nothing like a hostile workplace to show her love for the working class.

  2. Jack’s posts about local people are more interesting and fun than the national stuff. I get more national stuff than I want from the main stream media.

  3. I would imagine that Hair Furor is probably also under pressure from other electeds to dump her...The mid-terms are coming & bad job numbers always have an impact on the incumbents. There's new reporting that, "AI substitution wiped out roughly 25,000 jobs per month in the past year..."(from Goldman Sachs). Even a good / sober Labor Sec would struggle with that, but this idiot is just in WAY over her head.
(And what is it about anesthesiologists-?! They seem to get caught getting their freak-on more than other medical providers.)

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog2@gmail.com and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
