She kept us in stitches

Of all the public figures in this world, my favorites are musicians and comics. They bring the rest of us priceless gifts. They see and hear things that you and I can't.

The world lost a great comedic actor today, Catherine O'Hara. She was my age and lived in L.A. There was something about her performances that not only made you laugh, but also made you feel something else. She mastered the art of saying things between the lines, things the listener would get only after the show was over. That is comedy at its best.

Condolences to those around her, from a guy laughing his head off in front of a screen.

  1. Huge loss. I couldn't wait to watch the next SCTV episode back in the day. The roles on the mock-u-dramas were fantastic. Women in Hollywood don't often go too long, but she was one of those where age didn't matter. Catch ya later...

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog2@gmail.com and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
