Lookin’ kinda rugged
Just a quick follow-up on Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’s hideous vote to extend funding for Homeland Security. I don’t know if you’re on Bluesky, but check out this post over there, in which she tries to defend herself against the withering criticism she’s been getting.
To my eye, it is not normal.
That’s painful to watch. I hope she can get help.

ReplyDeleteIt's telling that she talks about what "they" can do, like she has no agency or initiative. I guess she's talking about the Senate, but "they" could have tried to get similar concessions when the bill was in the House. She feels embattled, as she should, as the district is shifting against her after repeated refusals to stand up on important issues. Brent Heinrich has a very good chance of displacing her. Whether he can win the district election is another question.

DeleteAgree with Jack...she is not right. Maybe she's afraid she will be indicted for being an accessory to murder...along with the rest of the bastards in D.C. who have supported the shitbag in the White House. Yeah, I know...keep dreamin'...
