Important announcement
Although on hiatus this season, the bojack2.com Underdog Game continues its efforts to make the world a better place. Today the commissioner issued the following statement at a news conference in the ornate lobby of the game's world headquarters (pictured):
"We are thrilled to unveil the bojack2.com Underdog Game Peace Prize – Love Wins Outright, a one-of-a-kind honor for anyone who has managed to pull off the ultimate upset: bringing peace to a chaotic world while everyone else is still fumbling their way through fake news and rigged elections.
"In today’s increasingly unsettled and divided world, it’s crucial to recognize heroes who work harder than a quarterback in overtime—those who tackle conflict, intercept hatred, and throw Hail Marys of hope that actually land. These are the people who make peace look like a game-winning touchdown, even when the rest of us are just betting on the pre-game coin flip.
"At the bojack2.com Underdog Game, we know that wagering on football is basically the same as wagering on peace. And on behalf of the nation’s entire community of degenerate gamblers, slot-machine strategists, and people who still think a parlay is a kind of sandwich, the Underdog Game Peace Prize will honor those rare souls who defy the odds and bring hope to humanity.
"The award is proudly bestowed on behalf of all football-loving emotional-bankroll enthusiasts worldwide—all five billion of them. With their daily dedication to chasing losses, complaining about refs, and yelling at screens, they help make the world a more joyous, passionate, and vaguely spiritual place. It is therefore only fitting that someone finally gets a medal for taking peace to the house.
"Nominations are open immediately at dogpdx24@gmail.com. Winners will be celebrated in style at halftime of the January 4 showdown between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons—because nothing says 'peace and love' like nachos, boos, and a poorly executed field goal try."

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
