If it matters to Oregonians...

... it's in the New York Post.

UPDATE, 7:15 p.m.: The Portland paper gets into it late, but they do dig around a little further. Their version is here.

  1. There are two stories here. The first and most important (which you have already talked about) is that this man does not live in Oregon. His life is in NYC, where his wife and children live. Either he is an absent father or he is fooling all of us. We don't have a system of at-large senators in this country, and Oregon is getting short-changed by giving New York a third senator that is a talking-head more interested in making NYTimes headlines and collecting Nvidia dividends than improving the state of the state he formally represents. Given our struggling local media, I don't know how Wyden manages to stay in touch--he should read this blog at least.

Evidence of his New York life, he hires staff to do the mundane jobs that come with parenting (like taking kids to school). For the health of Oregon and his family, Wyden should stop living a double-life and spend more time with his kids; and also let us have a senator who lives here.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
