These 'dogs need walking
The shortening days of November are upon us, but the underdogs of pro football give us hope. Players in our charity game, take a look at this pack of hounds (in caps). They include a double-digit mutt, the largest we've seen so far this season. Which canine do you think will win its game outright, as five did last week?

Our latest standings are here. It's tight at the top, and this is about the time of the season when a few stealthy players start inching their way up from mid-pack. We compete through the playoffs, with 10 more weeks after this one, and so it's still anybody's game.
Players, good luck sifting through the week's opportunities.
Just a quick thought on this tournament: perhaps to add a bit more realism to the action you might consider changing the format to "rank choice" voting. I.e., allow each contestant to pick three (or more) games in an order of preference and then choose "winners" by utilizing your finely honed analytic skills. You could even have a "trade deadline" wherein players could exchange point spreads for poll positions. I personally think this would add a bit of true democracy to the game and draw more marginalized people into the process.
ReplyDeleteIn honor of the new Portland City Council, all points won must be shared. The winner is Candace Avalos.
