So what does it all mean? We've got a couple of dozen smart people who have graced us with their opinions. Without further ado, here are the picks by the players in our charity pro football underdog game, their chosen underdog being in caps:

IMPORTANT NOTE: This post has been updated to show all picks received by the deadline.
Our most recent standings are here; ignore the asterisks contained therein. Best wishes to our players for a delightful 'dog day.
UPDATE, 1:15 p.m.: With almost half the week's games concluded, none of the underdogs have won.
UPDATE, 5:55 p.m.: Every last underdog lost today. There are two night games left in the week, but none of our players picked those 'dogs. Our standings remain as they were a week ago. New lines will be posted here on Tuesday.
UPDATE, overnight: The Sunday night bowser also failed.
IPDATE, Monday night: The Jets also lost, which means that every underdog did indeed lose this week. That's happened only once before in the history of our game, 15 years ago.
