Nobody chose:

9  NEW ENGLAND at Cincinnati

3.5  NEW YORK JETS at San Francisco (Monday, pick still due Sunday, 10:00 a.m. PDT)

Good luck, players!

UPDATE, 2:50 p.m.: The Steelers beat the Falcons, and five of our players (including three new entrants) are on the board.

UPDATE, 5:30 p.m.: The Cowboys stomped the Browns, and so Meow scores.

Comments

  1. If I’m reading the code right, every home team is favored over the visitors except for the two most narrow spreads of the week (1.5 and 2.5) going to home dogs Indy and NYG. This suggests that the early weeks are where the points are easiest to get, before the oddsmakers really dial in their understanding of the teams — or it’s just an amazing coinky-dink that the home teams are such favorites across the board.

    1. The first week is the hardest for the oddsmakers and a good opportunity for underdog wins. The pre-season exhibition games are meaningless.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
