Well how delightful, McCann's sound is his only, Harris ditto. But, Leroy Vinnegar on Bass! All gone. Does anyone remember Harris getting extensive air play on pop radio (ie KISN) with his cover of "Exodus" back in the early 60's? A few years ago (like 30) I bought a big box of 45's at a distressed garage sale for almost nothing and it had a ton of McCann in it as well as many more players who did not get air time here for sure. What a trove that was.
ReplyDeleteBack when there were 45s! And jazz singles. Leroy is credited as writing the song played here. That was one heck of a night in Switzerland.
