Here are the Week 16 underdogs

It's the antepenultimate week of the American pro football season – look that up in your Funk & Wagnall's. It means there are just six weeks of picking left for the players in our charity pro football underdog game. Nobody scored in our game last week. There were winning mutts, but our players didn't trust any of them.

One interesting statistic: In the last six weeks, there have been seven Monday night games, and the underdog won each and every one of them.

Speaking of Monday night, let's get the holidays straight before we start. I'm already beginning to lose track of what day of the week it is. Sunday, when most of the games are played, is Christmas Eve. There are two games on Saturday the 23rd, and three games on Monday, which is Christmas Day, as well as the usual Thursday night contest.

Players, if you choose a Thursday or Saturday 'dog as either your main or your backup pick, all your picks must be submitted by the kickoff time of your earliest game. All other picks, including the Monday pups, are due at 10:00 a.m. PST on Sunday, Christmas Eve. All picks go to dogpdx23@gmail.com.
