Grampy jumps the shark

Tom Potter, Portland's former police chief and former mayor, wasn't great at either job, but he wasn't terrible, either. Alas, he's decided to go full-blown terrible in his retirement, endorsing D.A. Mikey for re-election.

Does he get out much these days? And he was a cop?

Oh, well. Grampy, 83, gets a downgrade. Please make a note in your history books.

  1. Never know a political figure to make a public statement out of the goodness of their heart. There’s another shoe dropping somewhere

  2. A demerit shouldn't affect his ranking though. From He Who Shall not be Named all the way through present day, each has been a downgrade from their predecessor. Though the slide has certainly picked-up momentum since Vera.

    1. I thought Vera was bad. But at least she was taking orders from the wickedly smart You-Know-Who. It's so much worse now. A City Hall full of grifters, grafters, and know-nothings.

  3. I applaud Portland’s determination to proceed towards its goals. Here, truly, diversity is a spiritual concept made manifest by this Schmidt guy. You go Portland. May we achieve full inclusivity and know social justice in its truest sense!

  4. Has Portland's elected creatures announced that they stand with Hamas yet? And, if not why not?

    1. Someone should pose as a PSU student group leader (from the BDS movement) and email every elected official in the state of Oregon for a statement. Keep pestering once a week until you get a response. I'd love to see the list posted somewhere of politicians who stand by Hamas.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
