Week 12 underdog standings

It was a heck of a long weekend, in terms of both pie and football. I'm going to need a few days to withdraw from both. Two old school 'dogs, the Packers and the Giants, made some hay for players in our charity game, and here are the standings as of this morning:

Mojo and PdxTrojan sport the asterisks as they await tonight's contest. If Chicago wins, they each pick up 3½ points, which would move Mojo up to a tie for fifth, and PdxTrojan up to a tie for 15th.

Shoeshine Boy has hopped into second place, and Meow has jumped from 13th to fifth, illustrating what just one good 'dog can do. Surprisingly, VegasBaby5, last year's winner, remains in the cellar. If VegasBaby5 goes all 21 weeks without a win, that will set a new record; it's hard to do if you enter a pick every week. (The Mortician hasn't picked every week.)

But there are still six weeks of the regular season to go, plus three weeks of playoffs. When the playoffs get here, there are fewer underdogs and generally smaller point spreads, but we play until the two Super Bowl contestants have emerged from the baying pack.
