It will take some getting used to

I suspect he feels the same way.

  1. That dude's agent was willing to set fire to every last bit of good will his client had built up in this town. I feel for Dame because there appears to be no one in his life to suggest maybe that wasn't the way. They had their bluff called at every turn but still insisted on plowing ahead. The whole "I'll come back and play my heart out for you until you trade me to Miami" thing was laughable. His agent had taken him across the Rubicon; neither of them could grasp that there was no going back.

It had better work out in Milwaukee because there is no next stop. His "I wanna retire a Blazer" thing gave me a chuckle. After all this, you think they're gonna give you a contract at 35? REALLY?

    Enjoy Wisconsin, dummy.

  2. Well, just take a close look at his fingers: No Rings!

Agent, Smagent, the player wants to play for a championship not draft position.

Face it, PDX did not work out and we had him here mired in mediocracy much longer than normally would be expected of a talent like his.

  3. The Blazers could really use an owner who gives a damn.

    1. In case people haven't figured it out yet, the moment you try to negotiate with Jody in public is the moment you lose. The moment Knight went public was the moment any chance of him buying the team from Jody died. Dame went public and that killed the deal for Miami.

The team IS available and when it's sold, it will come as a surprise. Same goes for the Seahawks.

    2. Jody’s sycophants say that she’s protecting her brother’s legacy. That just hides her arrogance and self importance. She’ll delay any decision just to prove to that she’s just as important as her bro.

    3. Word on the street is she's getting paid two commas a month to watch her brother's estate. I'd slow roll a disposition too.

  4. Beyond all the separation anxiety, I look forward to see Dame with a really good team. And I wouldn't mind Dame coming back in a few years if the team continues to build into a winner. We likely got a steal in Ayton and Scoot is going to be good from day one.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
