Don't taze me there

Up in the 'Couve, where prosecuting property crime is still a thing, one officer's innovative technique for subduing a shoplifting suspect has been called into question.

  1. It is now standard operating procedure for criminals to shriek "I can't breathe!" while being arrested, to set the stage for future Section 1983 lawsuits & "excessive use of force" claims. Leftist Portland lawyers from the NLG and ACLU carefully instruct Antifa & "Black Lives Matter" criminals how to set up & provoke police, with NLG neon-green-hat "legal observers" waiting in the wings to record the police response for later litigation. It is clever legal scam, and it works well. Leftists simultaneously force legal restrictions on the police ability to combat rioters (e.g. no more tear gas, impact munitions, horses, water cannons) while also enriching themselves from the Portland city tax coffers. Portlanders are being MILKED like stupid cows by leftwing lawyers and Progressive "activists".

    1. Meh. The last case I saw was where a Portland cop got away with "restorative justice" after wrongfully assaulting a protester right in front of the cameras. They're no angels, either.

    2. I don’t think you can deny the existence of “ambulance chasers” with a left wing political agenda.

    1. Mendoza was perhaps just overzealously applying the goto technique taught in many women’s self defense classes—first reaction, kick ‘em in the balls.

  3. I have to say that some of the most aggressive cops I have come across are usually women. Just saying. I'm sure they need to over compensate.

  4. Cops need to keep cool and not give in to cruelty or dealing out gratuitous physical punishment. On the other hand, punch a cop in the face, kick another one in the chest, and you're going to get some heavy pushback. Both sides did some wrong things, but the crooks were wronger.

  5. I wonder if your headline is a play on words regarding a certain song by The Tubes? You do seem to incorporate a lot of lyrical references in your posts.

    1. Tubes rule! “White Punks on Dope” should be the Portland municipal anthem.

    2. Yeah, I love that band. Funny thing is, when I first got into them I was indignant that they were nothing but x-rated shock rockers, and I wouldn’t be caught dead at one of their shows. Well that didn’t last long, as I was seeing them the day after at the old Paramount!

They were much more than their “sleazy” stageshow and their reputation. The band was the real deal.....kind of a thinking man’s blend of classic rock and strangeness.

    3. I was at a Paramount show as well, probably the same one. The Tubes are grossly underrated. They belong just a notch below the greatness that was the Kinks. "A baby's arm holding an apple."

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
