True bill

Well, they've indicted Orange Caligula again, this time in connection with stealing government documents. It sounds like the feds have a better case than what the state prosecutors have going in New York, but it remains to be seen whether this second round of charges will do anything but boost his hideous political career.

I'm mildly encouraged by the reports that among the new charges are witness tampering and/or obstruction of justice. Dopey can b.s. his way around whether the papers he kept were classified, but witness tampering and hiding evidence are some serious stuff that only the most demented MAGA types will ignore.

Still, it would take a miracle to send that miserable wretch to prison. Let's just hope and pray that they can keep him out of the White House.

  1. All it takes to torpedo this is a single MAGA juror. They're not hard to find. Mild-mannered insurance adjuster by day, online Qanon warrior by night. The acquittal is coming.

  2. Always thought the comments about the US judicial system acting like a “Banana Republic” were absurd. But, hypocrisy does fit.

    3. If the American justice system worked as intended, Donald Trump would have been sent to prison long before he ever entered politics. What a bum.

    4. From the indictment:
"As the head of the executive branch and Commander in Chief, I have a unique, Constitutional responsibility to protect the Nation’s classified information, including by controlling access to it…. More broadly, the issue of [a former executive branch official’s] security clearance raises larger questions about the practice of former officials maintaining access to our Nation’s most sensitive secrets long after their time in Government has ended. Such access is particularly inappropriate when former officials have transitioned into highly partisan positions and seek to use real or perceived access to sensitive information to validate their political attacks. Any access granted to our Nation’s secrets should in furtherance of national, not personal, interests." DJT, July 26, 2018.

  3. Trump as the designated bad guy continues. Almost like the whole thing is scripted so nobody pays attention to the fleecing as Rome burns.

    1. Ever think that HE IS the bag guy? Why he remains the end all be all for a major political party is a mystery indeed. Literal human garbage.

    2. He did admit to defrauding his 'Trump University' students, coughing up $25 million. He cut a deal to return over $2 million that he robbed from his 'Trump Foundation' and he and his family members may not run charities or foundations. People do hard time for that kind of fraud, so it could be argued that he has been treated leniently. Yeah, he's a bad guy. Up until now he has used his connections to stay out of prison.

  4. That's a much closer resemblance than I ever could have imagined. They really captured his soul or lack there of.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
