Welcome, future IRS agents

I just read an interesting recent U.S. Tax Court opinion in which the IRS established that a person's posts on their blog could be used against them in a tax case. This was true even though the IRS didn't find the posts until after the case was already in court.

The taxpayer, interestingly enough, was from Oregon at one point. Maybe you know her.

Anyway, it started me thinking about how much dirt somebody could dig up on me if they combed through this blog. Or probably worse, my old one. I'm going to have a hard time talking my way out of a lot of things. So enjoy, investigators of the future! It's all here for you to find.

  1. Yeah you are a real threat to society. Don't take down your old blog though it can be an artifact of a once healthy state of public discourse in Portland something totally non-existant now. Sort of a Weimar Republic Portland.

  2. I used to have a backbone.
In your old blog, I signed in with my name. Never thought I’d be paranoid. I also never thought Orwell was actually predicting the future.

    2. I used to be M2inOR. You can probably guess why I left in 2019.. I'm not that anonymous, though.

Just be careful what you post, and all is OK. You only have to worry about impersonators.

That old blog is gold, some of your best writings! I can be a character witness if need be! 😉

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
