Snow kidding

Somebody mentioned that Portland might get a little snow this evening, and the local media have gone into their usual frenzy about it. Get those reporters up on the Sylvan overpass, stat! To tell us what we could find out by looking out the window.

It's 40 degrees, less than an hour before sunset, with the overnight low predicted to be 34, and so I'm finding it hard to believe that any white stuff that falls is going to stick, except maybe at the top of the hills. But you never know! So get out there and buy up all the bread and toilet paper! Carry chains to get to New Seasons! Your life may depend on it.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
