Wow......crazy news. Just watched a great documentary on him that was on YouTube. He was a musician’s musician for sure.
ReplyDeleteI saw him at the Paramount theater long ago......must had been 1979-1980 time frame. This was at near the peak of his solo fame when he was still packing them in. Great show, and live he was even better than the records. Which seems to be an impossibility. A sad day for music.
Saw him every time I could. A true freak of nature. First show was at the Paramount with Foghat and Argent opening.
