Crypto Boy had accountants

Or at least, he said he did

Forbes magazine said FTX provided it with “a trove of information on its operations, including most of the companies it did business with, when its last audits were and details on its regulatory licences” earlier this year when the publication was preparing a ranking of cryptocurrency exchanges. (FTX was ultimately ranked fifth.)

“Notably among FTX’s advisers and business partners was the New Jersey office of accountant Prager Metis CPAs, LLC and San Ramon’s Armanino, LLP [in California], which performed audits on FTX and FTX.US for fiscal 2021,” the magazine disclosed on Thursday.

It should be quite interesting to watch some of the birds dive for cover.

  1. They've got their scapegoat under King Charles control. Just like the Theranos' Elizabeth Holmes, they put a gullible foul as the supposed head, while all the real movers and shakers slink away. Just look at who was on the board of Theranos- some of the biggest of the big boys in the world, and you know how the game is played.

    1. The parents have already announced that they aren't going to be teaching next year. I guess the old "leaving to spend more time with the family" excuse isn't going to work this time.

  3. Democratic consultants are starting to get nervous as well. It'll be fun to see how Carrick Flynn makes out in all this.

    1. Also, they had a dude from Shark Tank under oath in front of some committee or other today. He loves him some crypto. He did not acquit himself well.

    1. He blathered a bit about that before they arrested him. He said he gave to both parties, but used "dark money" techniques to hide what he gave to Republicans. It's plausible, but I wouldn't trust anything the guy says at this point.

  5. When prosecutors act in a way to keep a bad guy from spilling the beans, if makes me wonder what and who is being shielded

  6. And if they hadn’t arrested him, you’d be charging that he was being protected in return for his contributions. The guy is psychologically unable to shut his mouth and he is digging himself in deeper furiously. Arresting him was to make sure that someone with more self-preservation instinct didn’t persuade him to try Paraguay where having a slow extradition would mean more cracks about how Biden was protecting SBF. I know that the former guy considered the Justice Dept his personal Gestapo but Biden has done absolutely zero to suggest he steers DOJ in any direction whatsoever (even keeping the Trumpist US Attorney in charge of investigating Hunter Biden on the job).

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
