American tune

In less than a day, seven college students have been murdered in the United States: four at the University of Idaho and three at the University of Virginia. It might be an appropriate time to stop and ask ourselves what is wrong with our country.

  1. I believe most people already know what is wrong. Some are trying like heck to change it, but can't beat the big money interests and the others bury their heads while cuddling up with their guns.

  2. 75 years ago, the front door of my home was never locked. Our culture changed. And that didn’t have anything to do with big money interests or cuddling up with guns.

  3. Where I live these kinds of incidents are rarer than Haley’s comet. And I am sure that there are plenty of guns around. It comes down to society has let these kids down.

The “anything goes” mentality, combined with the loss of any real authority figures at home and/or schools. They have no fear of being punished, and take away any kind of morality in society and this is what happens.

  4. We definitely have a sick society thanks to many factors, but mostly keeping us all agitated and in fear with non-stop messaging that we should doubt everything (critical theory from the Frankfurt School). Add in all the chemical dependency (thanks Big Pharma) and we have a toxic mess. But compared to previous eras of human history, the slaughter is still relatively low.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
