Is this what Joe Kent's employer does?

I'm still travelling down the rabbit hole on Joe Kent's employment mysteries. When I last left off last night, Joe's 401(k) had led to an outfit named Torres, and then to something called Continuity Global Solutions (CGS). An alert reader sent me to the Indeed page on CGS, and it leads to some interesting stuff indeed.

CGS, it appears, provides security at military bases around the world. They are, or were, big in Kosovo. And they're also at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. Where they've got job postings that sure are curious for a supposed cellular infrastructure consulting company. An example:

It looks like a notoriously evil place where the Border Patrol takes undocumented children coming over the border.

And it makes you wonder how true Trumpy Joe's description of his job is. Earlier this week we were told:

The Tuesday statement from Kent’s campaign said the firm “collects research/intelligence throughout the world on cellular infrastructure which is then sent to telecommunications firms who are pursuing contracts to upgrades (sic) that infrastructure, most recently involving the transition to 5G technology.”

It said Kent’s role with the company is to “hire and oversee contractors around the world who conduct the research on the ground and then to validate that research with AES engineers and turn it into a marketable product.” It also said the company switched to fully remote work in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

When you start sniffing around, it seems like AES, or CGS, or whatever it's called, is not really about "cellular infrastructure." People should have a lot of additional questions for Kent about what they do, what he does for them, and why he's been so misleading.

  1. A quick Google also turned up a CGS in Sparta TN with a different registered agent. Very odd!

  2. I'm guessing his boss is Jerry W. Torres of Torres AES.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
