From meh to nah

I see that the Portland police firefighters' union is supporting Rene Gonzalez in his bid to join the City Council. Back in the May primary, which was a wide-open affair with several viable candidates, the union sat it out without making an endorsement. But this time around, they're speaking clearly about their current boss, the incumbent, Commissioner Jo Ann With the Bullhorn. And it's a hard no. 

As readers here know, I agree wholeheartedly with that call. It's been an, ahem, interesting experiment, just as Chloe Eudaly was. But like so many things surrounding Har Har Hardesty, it didn't work out, and now it's time to end it.
