You'll never guess

Ah, the wonderful new Couch Street "plaza" in Old Town Portland. Another of those priceless additions to Our Vibrant Community from city commissioner Jo Ann With the Bullhorn. Look a little closer and see what it's already turning into: some nice elevated sleeping platforms on both sides of the street.

  1. I used to go down to Jazz de Opus and other nearby music venues regularly. Boy has the ball been dropped on making downtown a music scene. Now it's a crime scene, but you don't have to wait till 8 PM for the show to start...

    1. Yeah, Jimmy Mak's and J de O were such great assets. I regret taking them for granted.

    2. The Jazz Festival is doing regular shows at the Hoxton Hotel, just around the corner from the "plaza" in Old Town. But I'm not brave enough.

  3. All of Portland is a crime scene. Nero is fiddling for sure.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
