Speaking of trees and Portland parks

If yesterday's post about Friends of Trees didn't get your blood boiling, check out this hair-raising story about lousy tree maintenance in a Portland park. It's a miracle that a young girl's life was not lost when a big one came down on her mom's car, with her in it, the other evening in the Creston Park Pool parking lot in southeast Portland. A neighbor had apparently reported the tree as hazardous the day before, but of course, nothing was done.

More fine work from Parks Commissioner Carmen "Chainsaw" Rubio. Your expensive parks maintenance levy hard at work, not.
