Close but no cigar
An alert reader has pointed me to the fact that Time magazine has just named Portland one of the best places in the world! Unfortunately, as the reader notes, they got just one thing wrong: They typed 2022 when they must have meant 2002.
Their criteria for greatness appear to be limited to bike bridges, hotels, and the airport. God help their readers who come here and wander around downtown without a bodyguard.
Aw, FFS....We went through this back in 1978. And look what it did. At least then it was Sunset Magazine instead of Time.
