Ballyhoo? Not me.

I hear they're holding prime-time televised hearings in Congress about the insurrection of a year and a half ago. It's an urgent topic, but you'll forgive me if I don't watch. That show is all for the court of public opinion. My opinion was formed a long time ago, and it hasn't changed.

Orange Caligula and his entourage – including that creepy Kushner, whom the New York Times is mysteriously letting off the hook now – belong in prison. But the people who could put them behind bars can't, or won't, do it. I see no sign of that changing.

Robert Mueller didn't do it.

Cyrus Vance didn't do it.

Letitia James hasn't done it.

Merrick Garland hasn't done it.

And if our deeply flawed criminal justice system isn't going to do anything, the rest is naught but political hot air. Rehashing the gory details of January 6 just adds to the frustration. And besides, it isn't going to flip many votes in November from where they were two days ago.

So count me out. But I know many will tune in, which is all well and good. Let me know if anything interesting happens.

  1. Same here. I'll be interested to see what the poobahs have to say after analyzing it. I want to see ALL the ringleaders in shackles and cuffs.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
