Fun fact 2.0

I noted the other day that Andrea Salinas, now the Democratic nominee in the Sixth Congressonal District in Oregon, doesn't live in her district.

I just noticed last night that Jamie McLeod-Skinner, highly likely to be the Democratic nominee in the Fifth Congressonal District in Oregon, doesn't live in hers, either.

This state has become a really messed-up place.

  1. Is she Tina’s older sister? Just wondering.

  2. I looked at Andrea’s web page, and her views seem to be cut and paste, boilerplate Oregon liberal all down the line. And she supposedly lives here in L.O, but I doubt many here voted for her. Are Oregon voters afraid to try something new once in awhile? Or are they just perpetually stuck on stupid? I would say the latter.

  3. Looked her up and Andrea is practically a neighbor. Will I vote for her in the general election though..........not a chance.

    1. She doesn't live in her district, and so if you're really close to her, you can't vote for or against her.

    2. So she can’t even vote for herself then? Sounds about right for Oregon.

    3. Yeah I looked it up and Schrader is our congressman. God.......we are really up a creek if Tina and these two win.

  4. I know you don't like Republicans (someday we will change your mind), but Lori Chavez-Dereimer, the Republican nominee in the 5th district, doesn't live in the district either. So neither candidate lives in the district!

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
