The underground press

This one is both funny and sad, and I can't tell which it is more. In a civil lawsuit in Multnomah County, the defendant recently argued that the case should be moved to a distant county because a jury here would be prejudiced by a story in the Oregonian. The plaintiff countered that the jury couldn't be prejudiced because the story was behind the O's paywall, posted on a Saturday, no less, and so hardly anybody read it.

The judge sided with the plaintiff.
