Your tax dollars at work

Of all the victims of property crimes in lawless Portland over the last few years, who's the most deserving of a bailout? Who should be singled out to get federal Covid relief money to compensate them for losses from burglaries and robberies?

If you said "The pot shops!" then you're right in tune with City Hall.

“Despite record tax revenue growth for the state, 2020 and 2021 have proven to be the toughest years for the operators in Oregon’s cannabis industry,” Dasheeda Dawson, the city’s cannabis program supervisor said. “Our bureau has worked hard to pilot a much-needed ‘safety net’ to protect as many Portland-based cannabis companies as possible.”

You can't make this stuff up. Portlandia was a documentary.

  1. Well, trashing and robbing a liquor store is a crime against the state.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
