Fuzzy math

Here's a sad one: Members of the Portland homeless industrial complex have reportedly been fudging the numbers on how many people they're actually housing. Sad, but not surprising.

Do you think that maybe they're fudging some numbers with dollar signs in front of them, too? With 2 billion new income tax dollars about to pour into their slush bin over the next 10 years, you would hope that someone would be watching.

Hope, but not bet on it. This being Portland, and all.

  1. Yup. Somebody should be watching, but that ain't happening. I don't know how many park levies I've seen evaporate into the ether without producing a single observable product. I expect this to go much the same.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
