This cartoon isn't funny any more

Remember when the Portland City Council announced its response to the city's horrific gun violence crisis – two dozen new park rangers? It doesn't get more ridiculous than that.

Or so we thought. Now our daffiest commissioner, Jo Ann "With the Bullhorn" Hardesty, has another solution to the endless murders: She's going to have her "transportation" bureau put up some barrels that say "Local Access Only" on the streets where all the shooting sprees are taking place. If the gangsters have to drive slower, surely they'll cease fire.

You can't make this crap up. It is simply bizarre.
