Portland to businesses: "Stay the hell out"

Rather than focus on the city's many problems, Portland City Hall spends its days dreaming up new taxes. They're for the children, for the homeless, for the environment, for equity, blah blah blah. But it's one new tax after another. At some point, what little economy the city has left is going to collapse. That point gets closer every month.

"Ha ha! We're milking them good."

  1. A recent survey of Oregon businesses seems to back up this post nicely. Note that the survey questions cover only taxes and not the lawlessness that is surely making Portland an even less attractive place to invest or do business.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
