I don't care if they never get back

I've been trying to get into the baseball playoffs, but I can't seem to work up an interest. For one thing, they involve the cheaters of Houston and the tomahawk-choppers of Atlanta, neither of whom spark joy.

I guess I could watch just to root against those teams, but a bigger problem is that it's mid-October, and there are two full series to go, and then some. My internal clock tells me that the national pastime should have concluded for the year about a week ago. As it drags on into November, I've got other things to do and see. By the time the baseball ordeal is over, if the Boston Red Sox make it to the World Series, the grounds crew may be shoveling snow.
