His Excellency is on the market, ladies

In high society news, word arrived this week that Gordon Sondland and his wife, Katy Durant, are getting divorced. It's been a rough few years for old Gordon. Imagine having a bunch of your wealth tied up in a string of hotels in downtown Portland, where the tourists get stabbed and fall into piles of bum doo. Not to mention Covid.

Then there was this:

In November 2019, the investigative news nonprofit ProPublica and Portland Monthly magazine reported that three women alleged Sondland made unwanted sexual advances in business settings, including the magazine’s owner, then retaliated against them professionally when they rejected his advances. Sondland denied the reports, dismissing it as “underhanded” and “deceitful” journalism.

But there will always be that wonderful moment when he was Donald Trump's ambassador to the European Union. What an achievement, which no one can ever take away. It was worth it.
