Duck soup!

The Oregon Ducks football team has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, giving away an easy win and losing in overtime at Stanford. It was a truly unbelievable collapse, one that will have many gamblers out there fuming.

The locals will be talking about how the Ducks still have a shot at the national championship playoffs, but that's nonsense. Between the East Coast bias and today's stunningly inept performance, Oregon is out of the running for national anything. And they probably have another loss or two in them between now and the end of the season.

The Stanford folks are deliriously happy. They should be. They got lucky.
