About those Jail Blazer background checks...

I can hardly believe my eyes looking at this story. Remember Larry Miller, the president of the Trail Blazers from 2007 to 2012? Today he reveals that he murdered a man years ago, spent time in prison, and never revealed these facts to anyone in the Blazers organization, or to anyone for whom he worked over the years at Nike, Kraft Foods, or Campbell Soup.

And according to Miller, he never had to lie to get those jobs. Apparently no one asked the right questions.

Now he's hawking a book, in which I guess he's supposed to be some kind of role model. I think I'll pass on that one. But my goodness, you wonder how many more of these skeletons are in the Blazers closet.
