Whoopass Day on the college gridiron

I'm looking at today's schedule in college football, and they must be kidding. So many of the games, maybe most of them, are set up to be major blowouts. The Ducks are playing Stony Brook. Stanford has Vanderbilt. Iowa State is up against UNLV. The list of mismatches goes on and on.

There are a few decent matchups, and maybe one of the five-touchdown favorites will fall, but I think the idea today across most of the country is for the rich to get richer, and the poor poorer. It might be a good day to reorganize your sock drawer or do a crossword puzzle instead of watching football.

  1. I sat down to watch the Wazzu Cougars take on the SUC Toejams, thinking it might be interesting, as it was past halftime and Wazzu had a one touchdown lead. I never made it to the end of that because it was too pathetic; I checked out with SUC pushing again after 35 points left unanswered by the Cougars. Believe it or not, Alabama versus Florida was better. Zzzzzz...

    1. The average cupcake gets $1.4M to show up and get beat up. Surprisingly the cupcake doesn't always follow the script and scares the hell out of the paying host.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
