Down in that part of the Portland metro area where they proudly say "Hell, no!" to face masks, they now have their worst infection rate of the entire Covid pandemic. Their 10-day rolling average is now 163 new cases a day, or 38.5 per 100,000 residents.
By way of comparison, Multnomah County is currently at 25.5 per 100,000, and Washington County is at 26.6.
But wherever you are in Oregon, this thing is nastier than ever. Sending unvaccinated kids back to grammar school now is going to cost some lives. Killer Kate has washed her hands.
